A 16-YEAR-OLD boy from Bexhill has admitted carrying out a string of robberies at local shops.
The teenager appeared at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on Monday (11 August), where he pleaded guilty to four counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.
The incidents took place at several stores in the town, where staff were threatened after challenging the suspect.
He was granted court bail under strict conditions, including a 7pm to 7am electronically monitored curfew, bans from entering certain shops, and restrictions on contacting named individuals.
Chief Inspector Simon Yates said: “Thanks to a swift and coordinated response from our officers, the suspect was quickly apprehended. We would like to thank the staff members and business owners involved for their cooperation throughout the investigation. Our teams remain committed to tackling violent crime and keeping our communities safe.”
