Blue Note Jazz will be hosted by Lynda Murray in the Town Square Social Club on London Road in Bexhill later this month.
This event celebrates the music and musicians associated with Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Cannonball Adderley and John Coltrane.
Miles Davis would be celebrating his 100th birthday on 26 May. An ‘amazing quintet’ is lined up with London-based drummer Rod Youngs.
Rod is considered one of the UK’s top jazz drummers, having worked with an incredible array of musicians from Gil Scott Heron, Gregory Porter, Julian Joseph, Lianne Carroll, Courtney Pine, Denys Baptiste and Bryon Wallen.

Completing the lineup is Lynda Murray, alto and sopranino saxes, Naomi Kilby vocals, Adrian York MA piano and Paul Whitten double bass.
After the opening event Blue Note Jazz will then run on the first Sunday of the month starting 5 July.
Th event is taking place on Sunday 31 May 3-5pm, tickets are £10.
