A WOMAN has been charged following a crash in Bexhill in which a car struck a wall surrounding a restaurant terrace.
Officers from Sussex Police were called to the junction of De La Warr Road and Middlesex Road at around 8pm on Friday, April 17, after reports of a collision.
The incident involved a vehicle crashing into the wall enclosing the terrace area of The Bistro, located on the corner of the junction.
The driver, a 57-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries. She was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
Police have since confirmed that Sarah Turner, 57, of Middlesex Road, Bexhill, has been charged with driving a vehicle while over the alcohol limit.
She has been released on bail and is due to appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on August 5.
