Police appeal after motorcyclist seriously injured in Bexhill crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A259 near Bexhill which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

Emergency services were called to Barnhorn Road at around 4.50pm on Sunday, June 7, after a collision involving a grey Vauxhall Vivaro van and a black Kawasaki motorcycle.

The incident happened close to the petrol station at the junction with Coneyburrow Lane.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 29-year-old local man, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital receiving treatment.

The driver of the van, a 43-year-old local man from the area, was uninjured.

Officers are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are urging anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage showing either vehicle travelling westbound from the Little Common roundabout between 4.40pm and 4.50pm.
