A NEW podiatry practice has opened in Bexhill, offering residents trusted medical foot care services at a time when NHS access is becoming harder.

Bexhill Podiatry is run by Michaela, an experienced HCPC-registered podiatrist who graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Podiatry from the University of Brighton in 2017. She has since worked across NHS hospital and GP settings, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of foot health.

The practice covers all foot care needs, such as nail and skin conditions, corns and callus, ingrowing toenails, including surgical intervention, foot pain assessment, and diabetic foot care. It aims to provide accessible, high-quality care in a calm, professional environment.

Michaela notes that in recent years, NHS podiatry services have tightened eligibility criteria, meaning many people who would previously have received preventative foot care no longer qualify, plus those who are eligible face long wait times.

Untreated foot problems can lead to pain, reduced mobility, and increased risk of falls — which has a real impact on quality of life however, the issues are often preventable with early intervention.

Bexhill Podiatry was established to bridge this gap, offering personalised treatment plans and a holistic approach. Michaela is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry, has undertaken further education to become an Independent Prescriber, and is currently completing an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.

With a focus on clinical excellence and compassionate care, Bexhill Podiatry hopes to support the community in staying active, comfortable, and confident on their feet.
